In cooperation with the Czech Photo Centre, we have selected for you the best photographs of the plant world from past years of the prestigious Czech Nature Photo Competition, which since 2017 has annually presented fascinating images of nature from around the world taken by Czech and Slovak photographers.
The exhibition will be on display in the newly built visitor center area in the heart of the garden on the occasion of its opening to the public.
The exhibition will offer a selection of 32 of the best and award-winning photographs by experienced Czech and Slovak photographers and 12 images from the junior category, which managed to capture the uniqueness of plants, mushrooms, and wild nature across the years of the prestigious Czech Nature Photo competition, the aim of which is to educate the public and motivate them to protect wildlife, which disappears irretrievably.
"People protect what they know." This is the motto of Czech Nature Photo, and the Prague Botanical Garden identifies with it. As part of the exhibition and a tour of the botanical garden's exhibits, you too can see that nature conservation makes sense. Protect her with us!
The exhibition takes place in the newly built exhibition hall in the central part of the garden near the Ornamental Garden exhibition from July 21 to October 1. MAP OF THE AREA

is a new competition under the general benefit society Czech Photo, which presents and evaluates the best pictures of living nature by domestic authors. The competition presents the nature of the whole world as seen by our photographers. Czech Nature Photo wants to communicate that each of us has a responsibility for the state of nature on our entire planet. The competition is intended for both professional and advanced amateur photographers. Submitted images are evaluated by a renowned jury made up of photography and scientific experts. One or two foreign judges always sit together with the Czech judges.
Young photographers can also apply for the Czech Nature Photo competition as part of the Czech Photo Junior exhibition, and the Prague Botanic Garden has included several images from this group in its exhibition.
