PUMPKIN EXHIBITION | Unique Pumpkin Arrangements, Workshops and Halloween Festivities

13. - 31. 10. 2023

Autumn graces us with its most vibrant colors, painting a canvas like the greatest artist. We invite you to enjoy this stunning palette at our cherished pumpkin show.

This year's exhibition will take you on an unforgettable journey to Asia. Admire the pumpkin artistry crafted by students from the Czech Gardening Academy in Mělník, featuring dragons, geishas, rickshaws, Himalayan peaks, lanterns, and other enchanting motifs. Explore fruits in all colors, sizes, and shapes, complemented by interactive elements and pumpkin-related games. The exhibition will also feature a gigantic pumpkin, whose exact size is secret.

Join us for the grand finale as we celebrate Halloween on October 31, culminating in an enchanting lantern parade through the garden.

Enjoy a colorful autumn filled with fun, events, and creative activities for both young and old.

WHAT CAN YOU LOOK FORWARD TO?

Autumn brings a remarkable transformation of the natural world, painting it with a myriad of colors. It's traditionally the time for pumpkins and other fall harvests. From October 13 to 31, the Outdoor exposition of the botanical garden will be bedecked with a splendid array of colorful pumpkins, brightening rainy and misty days.

This year's pumpkin arrangements will be inspired by Asia, Asian culture, and nature. Visitors will encounter numerous traditional motifs from this continent.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a rich weekend program. On the first weekend, October 14 and 15, creative Autumn Workshops with autumn-themed activities await you. During the weekend of October 21 and 22, you can enjoy Pumpkin Fun, and on the last weekend of October, 28 and 29, you can carve pumpkins or craft pumpkin lanterns. The program will take place in a new exhibition hall, ensuring enjoyment come rain or shine.

The grand finale of the exhibition awaits on October 31, with Halloween festivities and an evening lantern parade through the garden.
