The last day of October at Prague Botanical Garden will be dedicated to our popular Halloween celebration for visitors of all ages.
You can look forward to lantern making, an afternoon programme in the Ornamental Garden, music and competitions, as well as our traditional lantern parade through the Garden, setting off in the early evening from Café Ornament.
From 6:00 p.m., selected pumpkin installations will be specially illuminated, adding to the magical atmosphere of the evening.

On Saturday, 31 October 2026, the Botanical Garden’s outdoor areas will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The pumpkin installations are not normally illuminated after dark. However, on Halloween, 31 October from 6:00 p.m., selected pumpkin installations will be specially illuminated for the occasion.
The Halloween programme is included in the standard admission fee to Prague Botanical Garden.
You can enter the Botanical Garden through the usual visitor entrances. We recommend travelling by public transport. Parking is available only at the car park by the main Bohnice entrance, and spaces are limited.

10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. – lantern making in the multifunctional area (last admission at 5:15 p.m.)
During the afternoon – music and competitions in the Ornamental Garden
6:00 p.m. – illumination of selected pumpkin installations
6:00 p.m. – lantern parade starts at Café Ornament
The detailed schedule, along with additional activities and performances, will be added gradually.
Make your own lantern right here at the Botanical Garden and bring it along for the evening parade.
Lantern making will take place in a heated 20 × 10 metre tent in the multifunctional area.
Payment can be made in cash or by card.
At 6:00 p.m., we will set off together from Café Ornament on our traditional lantern parade through the Garden after dark.
If you want to make the most of the Halloween atmosphere, we recommend arriving early, making your own lantern and enjoying the afternoon programme as well.
No autumn outing is complete without something tasty. During the day, refreshment stands will be available in the Ornamental Garden and near the World of Succulents exhibition in the northern part of the Garden, close to the Bohnice entrance.
You can look forward to halušky (traditional potato dumplings), pancakes, lángos, gyros and other treats.
